Both of these wifi smart cameras are designed to be mounted outside to provide live streaming video security for your home. Both cameras deliver 1080 HD video footage but the Nest IQ Cam has a 4K sensors which provides more clarity and better enhancement when the camera is zoomed in. Both cameras allow you to remotely view the stored footage from the cloud and access the video from your phone on the Nest app which is the same app that is used for the Nest Thermostat. The biggest difference between the two cameras is that the cameras is that the Nest Outdoor Camera is designed to be plugged into an outdoor outlet and has a larger cord and power adapter. If you have an outdoor outlet it makes for an easy installation. The Nest IQ has a thinner cord and can either be plugged in outside or the cord can be drilled through the wall and plugged in inside.
