Masked man on stairs, pull out to street scene STORYLINE Palestinians opened fire on a car carrying the governor of the Nablus region during his visit to a refugee camp next to the city on Sunday, according to witnesses and security officers. Four people were wounded in the shooting during which the governor, Jamal Muhaisen, ran into a house in the Balata camp to take cover. Palestinian police whisked him out of the camp, but not before residents of the camp set his car on fire. After the incident on Sunday, Palestinian security officers couldn't say who the attackers were. The Balata camp is known as a stronghold of the Islamic Hamas, and the governor is from Fatah, led by moderate President Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas overran the Gaza Strip last summer, leaving Fatah in power in the West Bank.
