During the intense conflict in Gaza in 2014, Sahar Bakir’s son Ismail was playing football on the beach when he was hit by a rocket. The impact was fatal and along with taking his life, it destroyed his mother’s too. Sahar has no income and each day she struggles to survive in what is known as the ‘largest open air prison on earth’.
