My parents 40th wedding anniversary present

So, my parents met in a very chance encounter in the south of Italy in 1975, and they married each other exactly one year to the day later. My family is really big on "surprises", and I've never met 2 people more in love than my parents, so for their 40th anniversary I wanted to do something special and different for them... I think I figured flowers and dinner was just a bit too ordinary and obvious of a gift for such an occasion. ]I decided to learn and perform a song to my parents by one of their favourite singers, Claudio Baglioni, with a song that was popular in the days when they met...a "torcher 70's love song" as my friend and bass-player in this video Neil would say. The whole sentiment of the song was another deciding factor, Claudio definitely has a whole "please don't leave" plea in his words, and I can imagine my dad was feeling some similar thoughts after they first met, as she was originally planning on leaving for Sicily the next morning, and likely out of his life forever... no Facebook back then ;) Happy 40th again mom and dad, and I look forward to topping this for your 50th..
