Mt Ruapehu Crater Lake - Snowboarding Exploratory Mission - October 21, 2013

Grant & I hike up and drop into the crater, but this time we manage to board down to a little beach on the lake by the overflow. (Don't try this at home kids!) Here we find some strange eggs which beg the question what likes living in sulfuric acid at an average temperature of 45 degree's C??? Anyway, it was a good end to the season for us, not something you see every day (unless you're an ice worm or something).
