MSF's Response to Deadly Ebola Outbreak in Guinea (B-Roll) | MSF |

MSF's response to the Ebola outbreak in Guinea continues to grow as teams go into the communities in the capital to try and trace the contacts of existing patients. In Conakry, where cases were first detected at the end of March, MSF has set up an isolation unit inside Donka hospital, which has a capacity of 20 beds. As of 3 April, there were eight patients being cared for in this isolation unit. Apart from isolating and caring for sick patients, an important activity is to investigate alerts of potential new cases. MSF teams are also referring suspected cases to the isolation unit and are following up people who have been in contact with the sick. MSF teams are also training medical staff of the hospital on the Ebola disease, the symptoms, hygiene measures to put in place, and on how to carry out triage of patients efficiently.
