Mother & baby kangaroo reunion

A mother kangaroo who was being chased by a dog ejected her joey from her pouch at the waters edge before going to water in her attempt to escape. A lady passing by & watching it all unfold picked up the young joey & called Wildlife Rescue. Thinking the 1kg joeys mother could still be around I went in search for her. After an intensive search of the area I came across two kangaroos 2 streets away. One of the kangaroos had curly, shaggy fur so I assumed she could be the mother that was in the water about one hour prior. I lay the little one on the ground & took a few steps back.......what happened next was truly amazing!
