Start by looking at your real expenses and creating a reasonable budget that will change overtime when you learn what you do and don't want to be spending your money on! Essentials What are your essentials? How essential are they? Can you cut down the cost anywhere? Discretionary Depending on your income you should have little to no discretionary income shoot for no more than 10% 2020 Money Saving Goals To start off 2020 right start with the goal of 50/10/40 that's 50% for essentials, 10% for discretionary and 40% for savings. I personally follow a 40/10/50 where I'm spending 40% for essentials and 50% for savings.
