Modified OKC Little Bird II Neck Knife

A while back, my best bud Justin of the MrLeonidas0001 channel gave me this OKC (i.e., Ontario Knife Company) Little Bird II neck knife. It is a small, supremely robust fixed-blade knife that I have modified to suit my needs better. First, I created a new kedex sheath for the knife. I liked the old one, especially since Justin had painted a cool kryptek design on it. But the retention of the sheath left something to be desired. On the outside of the sheath I put my "Survivalkraft" logo, a ranger band that can hold a Lumintop Tool AAA flashlight, and a handmade kydex pocket clip that doubles as a way to retain a neck lanyard with ranger beads. With all this, I can carry the OKC Little Bird II around my neck, on a belt, or in my pocket! Second, I modified the handle scales by cutting grooves into the outer faces. To do this, all I used was a Dremel with a sanding wheel, some standard 320 grit sandpaper, some steel wool, and again the Dremel with a polishing disk. This adds some texture to the grip, while also reducing slightly the weight and thickness of the handle. Third, I used a Lansky sharpening system to reduce the angle of the cutting edge from 30+° to around 22°. This has made the Little Bird II a monster cutter. It is easily one of the sharpest knives I now own. I really enjoy this knife and am proud of the changes I made to it. If anyone has questions about how to do something like this themselves, I would be happy to talk them through the process in more detail. If you would like to buy an OKC Little Bird II you can get them used on Ebay quite often. The original Little Bird that is very similar is much more easy to find. Right now they have some at knifecenter.com, for example. As for the flashlight in this video—the Lumintop Tool AAA—you can find one at the following link.
