The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), is a federal inter-agency committee tasked with reviewing cross-border mergers and acquisitions to gauge threats to U.S. national security. Keeping in mind both the benefits of international investment to America's economy and the protection of our national security, lawmakers have developed a thoughtful and bipartisan process to modernize CFIUS resulting in the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA).
