The most anticipated MIUI 9 finally is on the way and now it’s confirmed. The Mi 5X & MIUI 9 launch event will take place on 26th July, 14:00 (GMT+8) at China National Convention Center. Xiaomi has confirmed the following highlights of MIUI 9: Redesigned Lock Screen shortcut. Added Split-Screen feature. Added 3 new themes besides the default theme. Removed rarely used features. According to Xiaomi CEO, the MIUI 9 will be a lighter, faster and smoother ROM. In terms of device eligibility, the MIUI 9 will be released on a batch by batch. In the first batch, a limited amount of devices will receive MIUI 9 in the first batch followed by others. The updates will roll out in batches.
