Minimum Tillage

Strip tilling is desirable in areas where wind, soil or water erosion are a concern. In standing cover applications the strips of cover crop that remain in place between the tilled seedbeds act as a buffer to protect the soil from wind erosion and also protect the new plants after emergence.
