MIM P-Bass Pickup Tests - Stocks

I'll be uploading two other videos that start with "MIM P-Bass Pickup Tests" so you can compare the sound of these stock pickups on a '96 Fender MIM P-Bass to Seymour Duncan SPB-3 pickups and Bill Lawrence (Wilde) pickups. I tried to keep everything similar between the three recordings. All the levels were kept the same on the bass (volume and tone always on ful), on the LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI, and into my Alesis Multimix 12 Firewire mixer, into my computer. The DI levels were all set in the middle, as was the EQ on the mixer channel. No signal processing was done. I played basically the same riffs on all 3 recordings, and did each one twice, one finger picked and the other with a heavy pick. To compare the sounds of the pickups, I suggest opening all 3 videos in separate windows and fast forwarding to the same riff that you're interested in, and then play them one at a time. Please no comments about my playing. These were not done to try and impress, but to help out the bass community who has helped me with countless tabs and equipment advice. I hope this helps you decide if you want to upgrade pickups or not.
