MGM Student Arrested after Gun Found on Campus

SEMMES, Ala. (WPMI) A Mobile County student has been suspended and arrested after bringing a gun to school.It happened in Semmes where deputies say they found the gun on the campus of Mary G. Montgomery High School.School officials say an anonymous call lead to the arrest. When the student, at 10th grader, was brought to the principal's office, that's when school officials found an unloaded .32 caliber semi-automatic pistol in his backpack.Nancy Pierce with Mobile County Public Schools said tips aren't that uncommon.So many times it's another student that reports this to the administration because most of these kids do not want to be in a school with a gun.Parents were notified through the school's messenger system. Classes went on without interruption Wednesday morning.
