There were clashes between demonstrators and police outside the US embassy in Mexico City on Monday as President Clinton arrived for talks with Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo. Angry demonstrators - including some US citizens - burned US flags in protest at the treatment of Mexican immigrants by US officials.
Clinton and Zedillo were scheduled to begin their talks on Tuesday. US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is also holding talks with her Mexican counterpart
