Meri won the Award for the best newcomer of Split 1987. There is also a video of the song on youtube. Meri Trošelj is a Croatian singer and songwriter from Rijeka, who debuted as a singer on Zagrebfest's 1986 Pop Top 24 competition evening with the haunting song "Ti moje jedino drago" and won the Award for best newcomer from all festival programs. She collaborated with many artists on their albums and concerts (Miladojka Youneed, Elvis Stanić Group, Damir Halilić-Hal, Denise, Crooks & Straights...). She released the solo album "Uzmi šutnju" (1998). She won the Croatian discography award Porin in 2005 for the best vocal perfomance ("Speak to Me" with Damir Halilić-Hal). Meri Trošelj is now a vocalist of the Quartet Sensitive that sings bossa nova. the Quartet released the album "Afternoon with Jobim" in 2000.
