Being president has its perks - you're often first in line to appreciate and approve your nation's latest military technology. On Thursday, Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev was given an honorary tour at a training ground in the Moscow region. The president was then shown the multi-role machines in action - they demonstrated how personnel and weapons could be transported. Military experts also told him that the vehicles are equipped with powerful U.S.-made engines and have been assigned only to special security units, not to the armed forces. Dmitry Medvedev sat inside the new vehicles, before being given the chance to fire a rare World War 2 machine gun.
