Medium Swing Jazz Blues Play-along (Gm) https://goo.gl/ilSA7X Please share - ENJOY!
Chord progression:
II: Am7b5 I D7 I Gm I Gm :II
On the track, you will hear extensions of these chords - as is common in jazz of course :)
Scale suggestions:
G minor scale - G A Bb C D Eb F (G)
(Amin7b5 chords and Gmin7 chords)
G harmonic minor scale - G A Bb C D Eb F# (G)
(D7 chords)
Basic arpeggios:
Amin7b5 arpeggio = A C Eb G
D7 arpeggio = D F# A C
Gm7 arpeggio = G Bb D F
Next up, try out some more advanced colours on the dominant chord (D7) by treating it as an altered chord and using the altered scale:
D altered scale - D Eb F Gb Ab Bb C (D)
The altered scale is the mode which starts on the 7th step of the melodic minor scale, so in other words - the 7 notes of the D altered scale are the same as those of the Eb melodic minor scale :)
Here's a minor 2-5-1 lick you can try transposing to G minor http://goo.gl/McUjFO

Intro played on a Peerless jazz guitar - borrowed from the one and only Les Davidson!
