Medart helps save Chinese orphans in limbo

Two-year-old Zheng Minke is an orphan from Zhengzhou, in the eastern Henan Province of China. He suffers from a rare congenital condition called urethral duplication – where he has two abnormally narrow urethras instead of one. Dr John Ngan Hin-kay, founder and director of Medart, and his team want Minke to grow up healthy with an adoptive family. Medart is a local charitable organisation with the mission "to serve the forgotten". They started the China Orphan Outreach programme in 2003.
