MBCluster - Installing a trailer hitch in a 1992 W140.

Installing a trailer hitch in a 1992 W140 500SEL was a snap. Thanks to a quality hitch made by Curt Manufacturing, part# CM11814-2. The '2' suffix indicates a 2" ball option. The wiring kit is also made by Curt part# CME 56146. The wiring kit is necessary to avoid any false triggering of the external lamp failure module in the W140. Installed in about 2 hours to fit the hitch, another hour to make a custom wiring harness. Ordered from http://www.hitchdepotusa.com/ and shipped locally from the Mississauga depot to avoid duties for Canadians.
