Mazda CX-5 Diesel: Too little too late as Jojo said? | Full Review

A long time ago Mazda promised us an ultra-efficient turbo-diesel engine in the Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6! Nearly 10 years later, we got it! Ok, it's an achievement to have a Skyactiv-D turbo diesel engine available in North-America, but it is worth the money? You can only get the Diesel engine with the Signature option package for the Cx-5 pumping the price a lot! The Skyactiv-D 2.2 delivers 168 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 290 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 RPMs. The CX-5 is now available with four Skyactiv engines: the Skyactiv-G 2.5 L gasoline engine, the Skyactiv-G 2.5 L engine with Cylinder Deactivation, the Skyactiv-G 2.5 L gasoline engine with Dynamic Pressure Turbo, and the Skyactiv-D 2.2 L turbocharged diesel engine.
