What is MAT MAT exam or Management Aptitude Test is a national-level Management Entrance Exam conducted by All India Management Association AIMA for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses. Candidates who qualify this exam can take admissions in more than 600 B-schools accepting MAT scores. Once the results for MAT exams are announced, the qualified candidates can apply on the website of B-schools accepting MAT scores. All Indian Management Association sends MAT scores to at least five management institutes that candidates have mentioned during their MAT registration. It is conducted four times a year i.e. February, May, September and December. MAT Exam Eligibility: The minimum qualification required for appearing in MAT Entrance Exam is graduation or its equivalent in any discipline from any recognized University. Final year students of any undergraduate course like B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.Tech. etc. can also appear in MAT exam provisionally. There is no restriction in terms of maximum or minimum age limits. Candidates can apply for the exam if they fulfil the other eligibility conditions. MAT Exam Syllabus: Questions in the MAT exam are asked from five subjects i.e • Language Comprehension • Mathematical Skills • Data Analysis and Sufficiency • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning and • Indian and Global Environment MAT Exam Pattern: The MAT exam is conducted in two ways i.e. Paper Based Test and Computer Based Test. It carries a total of 200 questions having 40 each from all the 5 subjects and a total of 200 marks. Total time to attempt MAT exam is 2 Hr and 30 minutes having different suggested time duration like for: • Language Comprehension: 30 minutes • Mathematical Skills: 30 minutes • Data Analysis and Sufficiency: 35 minutes • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: 40 minutes and • Indian and Global Environment: 15 minutes How to Apply for MAT Exam? To apply for the MAT exam, you need to follow few steps and the: • The first step is to visit the official website of AIMA i.e. www.aima.in, then click on the ‘Apply for MAT Exam’. You will be directed to the application form portal; Select the ‘new candidate’ option. • Enter your basic details there i.e. name, address, date of birth, an active e-mail address along with a valid mobile number. Then click on the register button. • An e-mail will be sent to your given e-mail address. Fill up the complete application form by entering your personal details and academic qualification. • Upload the scanned copies of your passport size photograph along with running hand signature and • After that, you have to pay for the exam fee. MAT Exam Registration Fee: The MAT exam fee is as follows: • For the Paper Based Test or Computer Based Test is Rs.1550/- and • For both PBT and CBT is Rs.2650/- The MAT exam fee can be paid by Credit/Debit Cards or Internet Banking.
