The surgery video begins with Mr. Richards showing the camera his markings for the patient. He also tells us where he will be positioning the nipple. He will be using a short scar technique, which will go around the nipple, down the breast and underneath. To mark the nipple, so it can have the correct orientation, his assistant holds the breast in place, and Mr. Richards uses a tool and ink to mark around the nipple. He then tattoos it at 12, 9, 6 and 3 positions of the nipple, as if it was a clock, to keep his bearings when moving it. Mr. Richards then shows the area of skin he will be removing before we skip to the end of the breast reduction for this side. The process is repeated for the other breast before we see the final results, with our patient with the tape and dressings applied.
