Katyusha, a Russian WW2 song originally written in 1938 by Matvei Blanter with lyrics from Mikhail Isakovsky. This cover uses the instrumental from the anime "Girls und Panzer", extended to fit all four verses. Before anyone asks, a "ditty" is a simple, little song. And yep, I'm still alive, to prove this, I'm back with one of my foreign language covers~ This one started as a simple piano cover of the russian WW2 song Katyusha, with only Maika singing, but then I remembered the version that played during the Pravda High School battle, and once I did that, I couldn't go back to the plain piano version. Maika was chosen because of her phonetics, which are incredibly suited for Russian. Zunko, because she did fit with the anime's Katyusha's voice type, at least in my head^^ All in all, I'm satisfied with how this turned out despite I spent under a week's worth of free time on it (which is not much when you're majoring in Japanese studies AND linguistics at university), proving that over-thinking and breeding over a video for months destroys the creative process for me (and that's exactly what I did for the last few months, working on songs until I hated them). Sorry for not posting anything on here for nearly half a year~ Programs used: Vocaloid 3 Cubase Elements 7 Vegas Pro 13 Спасибо за внимание! ~mw~
