Madang communities raise concerns on law & order, Basamuk spillage

Over the last couple of years, Madang Province has been making headlines for an upsurge in crime and what many Madang locals feel is a total breakdown of the status quo within local communities. The fall out has prompted community leaders in the province to come out through mainstream media to appeal to the six local MPs and relevant authorities to work together to look into these issues affecting the Province. The recent spillage and contamination into waterways in the Basamuk area was also a major concern highlighted.
