Pasir Batang was a Kingdom rich in natural resources. The Place become the center of trade for merchants while farmer were happily cultivating their fertitle, and the green tropical forest is so beautiful throughout the whole year with flowing water in all directions. One day, Baginda Prabu Tapa Ageung, the king of Pasir Batang decided to leave for meditation, leaving, his seven beautiful daughets, princess namely Purbararang, Purbamanik, Purbaendah, Purbaleuwih, Purbadewata, Purbakencana and Purbasari. Baginda Prabu Tapa Ageung gave temporary power to Purbararang, his eldest daughter will waiting for her sister, Purbasari to be old enough to finally lead the Kingdom of Pasir Batang. However during Purbararang"s reign, injustice and greed were widespread. Farms become barren land, cattle were dying and water was not sufficiently flowing. The close ties between seven sisters were broken. Purbasari, the candidates for the queen of Pasir Batang was tricked and driven away to the jungle of Cupumandalayu. People become very poor and in despair. Then a black monkey (Lutung) came and created havoc at the palace of Pasir Batang. Wich and where was this Black Monkey come from ? Was this a sign of hope for the people of Pasir Batang.
