In this Physics electronics video lecture in Hindi for class 12 we explained the application and working of various logic gates, like OR, AND, NOT, NOR, NAND, XOR and XNOR gate, with tricks, and also drawn their truth tables. Logic gates are digital circuits operating on electronic pulse input and output. In digital electronics absence of signal is considered as zero and presence of signal is considered as one. When we tabulate the input and output values in a table, it is known as Truth table. Logic gates are fundamental blocks in digital circuits to control the flow of electrical pulse with certain logic. The following are the logic for different logic gates.
OR gate : Output is 1 when there is 1 in any of the inputs.
AND gate : Output is 1 when there is 1 in both of the inputs.
NOT gate : Reverses the signal. 1 becomes 0 and 0 becomes 1.
Buffer : It propagates the signal.
NOR gate : It is reverse of OR gate.
NAND gate : It is reverse of AND gate.
XOR gate : Output is 1, when only of the inputs is 1.
XNOR gate : It is reverse of XOR gate.
In this video we also discussed about half adders. When a circuit can add two digits, i.e., without carry, it is called a half adder. Hence, this video will give you a basic idea how calculator and computer works.
