Local resentment, lack of basic amenities alienate rehabilitated people in Gudapakkam

Flood survivors, slum dwellers evicted from the banks of Cooum river in Aminjikarai and Maduravoyal and Adyar river in Ramapuram, and Sri Lankan expats have been relocated to the slum clearance board's resettlement colony in Gudapakkam village in Thiruvallur district. But for the resettled communities, resentment from local community and lack of basic amenities have been a major cause of concern.
