LIVE: US State Department requires closure of Russian Consulate in San Francisco

LIVE from outside the Russian Consulate in San Francisco on Thursday, August 31, after its closure was ordered by the US State Department. The State Department announced that the consulate and two annex buildings in Washington, D.C. and New York must be closed by Saturday, September 2 in a statement issued in retaliation for Russia’s order for the US to reduce its diplomatic presence on Russian soil.
