Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell gave both Democrats and Republicans 24 hours each, spread out over three days to make their opening arguments and Senators will now have a total of 16 hours to ask questions in writing to House prosecutors or the White House defence team. Trump is facing an impeachment trial for abuse of power, in connection with his alleged quid pro quo with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and obstruction of the justice, for interfering with the investigation into a call he had with Zelensky.
