LIVE: Protests continue on Beirut’s streets

Clashes between police and protesters are expected on Wednesday, August 26, as the ‘You Stink’ protests continue around the Riad El-Solh Square. The protests have been ongoing since Saturday and clashes have erupted each night. The protesters are demonstrating over the city's ongoing waste disposal crisis that has seen tonnes of rubbish piled up on the streets of the Lebanese capital. Another protest is also going to take place in central Beirut and is expected to move towards the American University Hospital.
