The Little Shepherd Trail stretches 38 miles along the crest of Pine Mountain. It's approximately 13 miles from the start high a top Pine Mountain near Whitesburg, KY to Kingdom Come Start Park near Cumberland, KY Part of the Pine Mountain State Scenic Trail, the entirety of the Little Shepherd has been paved. It is open to all types of access, from motor vehicles to foot traffic. Home to great vistas and overlooks, the Little Shepherd Trail provides some of the best scenes in south eastern Kentucky. It is not unusual for visitors to see Black Bears while on the Little Shepherd, as well as whitetail deer and other wildlife that inhabit the area.
Kingdom Come State Park, with an elevation of 2,700 feet, is the crowning jewel in the crest of Pine Mountain near Cumberland, Kentucky. Admire the beautiful views from one of eight overlooks, hike a trail or fish for bass, crappie and trout in the lake.

Some of the most extraordinary rock formations in the state are featured at this park, including Log Rock, a natural sandstone bridge, and Raven Rock, a giant rock exposure that soars 290 feet into the air at a 45-degree angle!
