LIRR Work Train Stony Brook & St. James, NY March 1,2008

Long Island Railroad Mp-15 AC # 158&158 cut away and run around seven car train at Stony Brook NY. Proceed westbound after train # 6650 and shove the gondolas loaded with wooden ties into the siding at St. James NY. Close up the switch and head back west, engines only. I just happened to be in the living room in my house when I heard what souned like an MP-15 heading up the grade out of Smithtown. I looked at my watch an figured they would have to stop at Ston Brook for a train meet. Deceided to take a ride up there to see if anything was going on. Lucked out this time.
