Instagram: denali_marks *Notes* *When I refer to the chorus, the beginning of it is when Matt Berninger begins to sing "Oh the glory of it all was lost on me", even tough you can consider it a pre-chorus or a "lift". *There are some variations in the way Dessner plays the right hand through the song, they're not very significant and the live versions he plays it differently a lot too. This is just the barebones skeleton version of the song, feel free to experiment. *On that same note I recognise that some of the chords are inversions in the studio version; I'm not the most highly trained pianist (as you can obviously tell) so I just stuck to the basic chord structure. I'd make the recommendation that if you want to use inverted chords i'd follow this pattern - (F# - A - E(First inversion) - B(Second inversion)) - the B chord he plays hits the lower F# note.
