Overall these bulbs are very reliable and I only have connection issues a small percentage of the time. Other than that, they have worked great for me. Keep in mind that smart bulbs are a new technology so you can't expect them to be perfect. Smart LED bulbs like the LIFX and Philips Hue bulbs are most likely going to be the future of home lighting. Right now we are in the early adoption phase and they are rather expensive to get into, but in the future I think this is the route that many homeowners are going to go.
