There's much to do here: visit the bar, teach Puppy Orichalcon forging, clean out a ghost ship. Plot-wise, nothing happens. None of this matters to the main plot... but we will need that Purple Orb, eventually. You might speculate that, because acquiring it requires completion of the Ghost Ship dungeon, the Ghost Ship, although it seems like a mere sidequest now, will be important later.
