To form the past tense, you drop the [-ти] and add the correct verb ending. The new ending must agree in gender and number with the verb's subject (the [who] or [what] that is performing the action). If the subject is plural, the past tense verb must be plural. Often, the past tense verb ending rhymes with the subject ending.
