KSRTC Bus With MD Thachankary As Conductor Takes Off To Guruvayur | Mathrubhumi News

Kochi: KSRTC MD Tomin J. Thachankary obtained conductor license on Monday from Thiruvananthapuram RT office. Thachankary, who holds ADGP rank, will work as a conductor in the Thiruvananthapuram - Guruvayur Fast Passenger which starts at 10.30 am on the International Labour Day, which falls on May 1. Thachankary had thoroughly studied about the traffic laws, electronic ticket machine, ticket fare stages, free passes and student passes on Monday itself. There would not be any standby conductor to help him during the duty. He has also got a new conductor uniform stitched on Monday. “I could not learn the trick to hold the currencies between the fingers just as the conductors do. Everything else is okay,’ he said. During the duty hours, he will have food with the driver, when the bus will stop at Kottarakkara stand. He will relieve from the duty at Thiruvalla and will interact with the employees in the garage. Thachankary had attended the learner’s test and physical test to obtain the driving license. Thachankary gave right answers to 19 out of the 20 questions in the learner’s test. Thachankary got a license with 3 years’ validity.
