Scent and Symbol of time. First Soviet perfume, yet still considered by its' fans as 'well-constructed, very elegant, sophisticated, retro & beautiful' ( guardian.com). Initially was created for the Empress of Russia Maria Feodorovna at the Brokar perfumery in Moscow ( later - Nouvelle Etoile - Novaya Zarya), then on the base of it the newer version was created in around 1913. Was changed into the version very similar to the modern one in 1924. The present scent is much the same but only lighter as the carnation note was taken out of the perfume's formula.
