Klingon Academy is a more arcadey approach to space combat than Starfleet Command. You take direct control of your ship in 3D space rather than a 2D plane and engage in close ship to ship combat with disruptors and photon torpedoes. You can also cloak and manage power and stuff like that. As you progress, you'll get more powerful ships.
The thing that makes this game special though is the fact that Christopher Plummer and David Warner reprise their roles as General Chang and Chancellor Gorkon from Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Chang serves appears in the briefings and gives some brilliant performances fleshing out the character and the Klingon culture.
Definitely one of the better Star Trek games. Sadly a bit glitchy even with fixes on modern versions of Windows. But mostly graphical artifacts and it's still completely playable. At least so far.
"Ain't Played In Ages" is a live narrated walkthrough / let's play series of various games that I haven't played for many years. Usually I'm playing them in the video for the first time since I was a kid. That's a long time ago.
Intro music is from the classic "cracktro" by Unit A. The full version can be heard and seen here:
