On November 21st, the actor came to Paradise City Hotel in Incheon to present an award at the '40th Blue Dragon Awards.' The actor made his first public appearance in 2 years and 6 months, since he was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal cancer. Before presenting the award, Kim Woobin took his time to share how he felt to be back in front of fans. The actor started, "It's been a long time since I've been back on stage so I wonder what I should say. Other than anything, I would like to say thank you." He continued, "I wasn't feeling well several years ago. A lot of people have shown support for me and prayed for me so that I can overcome all of these. That's how I can greet you sooner in a healthy condition. I would like to thank all the people who have supported and prayed for me, and let me stand at this prestigious 'Blue Dragon Awards.' I feel honored." Kim Woobin concluded, "It has been a while and there are a lot of stories I want to tell you. However, I am not the main character today so I will tell you next time."
