This is my first original song that I've written that isn't exactly about me. My friend Dominique Parkman asked me to write about what she's going through in her relationship, and I thought it was a great opportunity. She had given me all of the details and it was interesting to write. I hope you like it and give me your feedback, it'd be much appreciated. Lyrics are below :)
Lyrics:
On that warm October Night,
In the back of your truck you were holdin' me tight,
There was somethin' on my mind,
I just didn't know how to say it,
Those three words,
I had to say out loud,
I just thought you oughta know by now.
Now you're gone, and I need you,
I don't think you understand what you're putting me through,
We can't do this on our own,
We need you around,
Just think back to our night alone with the radio on.
I know things weren't how they should've been,
but believe me, we can fix them,
We've both got forgiveness that needs to be earned,
Baby, we can't let it burn, out, our love,
We can fix it, yeah, we can fix it,
Now you're gone, and I need you,
I don't think you understand what you're putting me through,
We can't do this on our own,
We need you around,
Just think back to our night alone with the radio..
So loud,
I could hear your heartbeat so loud,
With the music playin' so loud,
Just bring me back to that night..
Now you're gone, and I need you,
I don't think you understand what you're putting me through,
We can't do this on our own,
We need you around,
Just think back to our night alone with the radio on,
With the radio on, the radio so loud, the radio on,
In the back of your truck with the radio on.
