Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah adds insult to injury, whistleblower cop punished

Days after she exposed the VK Sasikala bribegate, whistleblower cop Roopa has been transferred to the Transport Department of Karnataka, alongwith chief superintendent of Agrahara Prison Krishna Kumar, but without a positing. Incidentally, DG (Prisons) HNS Rao – who vehemently denied all allegations levelled by DIG Roopa, has also been transferred. In a sham defence, the Karnataka government has said that the transfer took place because of the officer's public misconduct and that DIG Roopa's interaction with media was unwarranted and that she violated service rules.
