Kari Noren-Hoshal and Jose Federico Munoz – THE MAYAN CALENDAR AND YOUR MAYAN SIGN Five years after the start of the Mayan 6th Sun Calendar on December 21st, 2012 we are now entering the crux of the Time of Turmoil as described by Mayan Day Keeper, Jose Federico Munoz. Kari will introduce the concept of the 5,173 year Mayan Calendar and Jose will discuss the Time of Turmoil which began with the start of the new Sixth Sun Calendar in December of 2012. Interestingly, the peak of the Time of Turmoil corresponds with the U.S. Pluto Return. Kari will talk about peak years and what they appear to hold in store. In the second part of the presentation, we will take a look at the 20 Mayan Day Signs made available as downloadable docs. As time allows we will look at a volunteer’s chart. Learn ways in which we can use ancient native wisdom to stay centered in the highly transitional times we live in. Kari Noren-Hoshal is a practicing astrologer and columnist in Sarasota, Florida. She became interested in sacred practices of indigenous cultures in her growing up years in Panama, Colombia, Nicaragua and Egypt where she lived between the ages of 7 and 18. Kari takes an evolutionary approach to her work. She teaches an astrological internship program and publishes a monthly column which can be viewed on her facebook. She has presented her views on astrology at NORWAC, UAC and the River of Stars Conference in Hawaii. She has presented at NCGR Chapters in the Mid Atlantic.
