Canada: River Adventures in British Columbia
This adventure travel documentary was produced for WDR German TV and aired on several German language networks (Germany, Austria & Switzerland).
The Fraser River is the worlds largest commercially rafted river. It is four times larger than the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Only gigantic motorized pontoon rafts can handle the mighty turbulences of such big water. The program features adventures from mild to wild, as narration touches on the regions rich history. Capturing the journey through Hells Gate and other spectacular natural settings, the story highlights encounters with a herd of Big Horn Sheep, as well as a young Black Bear, only within a paddles reach. Hands-on rafting on the Thompson and a taste of kayak touring on the Nahatlatch, lend additional glimpses into the abundant variety of adventure travel opportunities in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
