JNU row: Delhi High Court grants six-month interim bail to Kanhaiya Kumar in sedition case
The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted an interim bail to JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar. The court granted him a six-month relief subject to the outcome of the investigation.
Kanhaiya Kumar would have to furnish a bail bond of Rs 10,000. However, his release would only be secured after judicial order, which is unlikely to be released on Wednesday.
Delhi Police lawyer Shailendra Babbar said this was not a setback, saying that the court would have given him a regular bail if it found the police without any evidence.
