Nadir's aria in act 1 in Les Pecheurs de Perles (the Pearl Fishers) by Bizet. The orchestral intro (all over barcarolle rythms: it sounds like boating on the big wave like his heart-beat) of this music reflects Nadir's feeling such as turmoil, chaos, stir, and anxiety by recognising Leila since he had the oath to keep freindship with Zurga rather than love. But once he listens Leila's voice, his heart is shaking, and he praises her and thinks good memory with Leila in the music. Although he had the oath, his heart already goes to Leila. I think he has never forgatten Leila even when he had the oath.
