Japan's Lucky Cat The Legend of Maneki Neko | gradualreport | I went to the Gotokuji Temple in 豪徳寺. And had a little walk around the grounds. What struck me was how everyone was really digging this old cat story and how people even in this day and age kept the story alive. I decided to try my had at re telling the story and see if I can learn from the attempt. I think the video came out ok, I realize that I need to do a lot more B-roll shooting so that i can have more choices while telling the story. The goal here was really to find faults with my story telling abilities and get better. I played with the music a bit more on this and had lots of B-roll but really need to tighten up scripting and have funnier cut aways. Rather then endlessly edit this one thing, I will take what I have learned and apply it to the next show. Sometimes I get lazy and depressed and feel like shit, on those days I stay in bed and cry. But don't worry that's just sometimes mostly, making videos makes other people happy and makes me happy too so it keeps me going.
