The 53-year-old is part of the Season 6 cast of the hit TLC reality TV series in which morbidly obese patients document their journey of getting approved for gastric bypass or gastric sleeve surgery in order lose weight — and their weight loss is often a life or death matter. Then, when Janine was 4, they decided that she should be on diet pills. Fast forward fifty years later and Janine found herself at her heaviest at about 629 pounds. She decided it was time to finally take her life into her own hands and booked a flight to Houston to meet with Dr. Now, and even though the flight was extremely painful for her due to complications from her lymphedema, she made it.
