J.-S. Bach. The "New" Violin Concerto in E-major, based on BWV 29, BWV 1006. The Idea and Reconstruction* for violin, strings and basso continuo by Denis Fedorov. Ensemble Concordia Discors Maria Shalgina, violin solo Liza Perler, violin Kirill Variash, violoncello Denis Fedorov, organ, direction 21.01.2018, Temple de Chailly, Lausanne, Switzerland *Remarques of Denis Fedorov, www.denis-fedorov.com: The famous Preludio from Partita for violin solo N3 in E major BWV 1006 was used by Bach himself in cantata BWV 29 «Wir danken dir, Gott, wir danken dir», but the solo part Bach gave to organ. I returned to the violin version, added Bach’s accompaniment, and it becomes the 1st mouvement of the «new» concerto. For the 2nd and 3rd movements I took the soprano aria and tenor arioso from the same cantata (by analogy with Bach’s own transcriptions of some cantatas).
